Steady wins the race

Some business owners dream big, and aim to grow accordingly. Others are happy having a devoted, loyal group of satisfied customers. The founder who started Vienna Vogue International Pte Ltd is one of the latter who has “a stable group of customers.”

“Many customers like it here because it’s quiet and comfortable,” she explains. “If it’s near an MRT station, there may be a larger crowd, but it may not be as quiet.” It also helps that parking around the shop is very convenient, too.

Vienna Vogue International offers eyelash, eyebrow, and facial services, amongst other beauty services. Each service is provided by a specialist, who used to work for their own companies, but chose to band together here. Most of their clients, in fact, came through these specialists, and their current base of regular customers was built from there.

As such, business has been steady, with few challenges as “slots are always filled.” One of the key reasons why customers are so loyal is because they take their customers’ happiness seriously. “It’s a responsibility for us. We treat our customers’ eyebrows, eyelash, and so on like our own,” she says. “As a spender, you also won’t want others to do it haphazardly for you.”

In fact, business is so good that they opened another outlet earlier this year, with plans to add another to the list later on. “We just opened a bridal salon, we have alot regular customers, so a lot of them look for us again when they require bridal or photography services,” she adds. “We’ll do everything, including gowns, photography, and so on.”

To aid expansion plans, Vienna Vogue International conducts internal training and examinations for staff. “Many beauty salons do not provide such trainings. We ensure that every staff is able to deliver the same level of quality,” she elaborates. “Eyebrow services are the most difficult, so they’d require about half to one year of training.”

Indeed, stability is what the founder of Vienna Vogue would advise any budding entrepreneur to strive to achieve. “Don’t put money as the priority. You’ll only go far if you have a stable journey,” she adds. “Take note of the details customers tell you, settle the details, and overcome them.”
